Mr Wiest has been using ELITECAD Architecture since 2018 and employs the software specifically for the individual planning of economical and efficient solutions. His response to the question of how ELITECAD supports him in his creative work:
"I create most of my designs directly in ELITECAD and hardly ever draw on paper anymore. ELITECAD Architecture is a very intuitive tool that allows you to let your thoughts run wild, starting from a blank screen. The multitude of editing functions accompany you through all your ideas.
I also use ELITECAD for quantity surveying, area calculations and compiling flat sizes. In short: for everything related to drawing creation and the accompanying information that is important in architecture."
In our conversation with the architect, he confirms that planning processes have noticeably accelerated since the integration of ELITECAD Architecture into his daily work. Significantly more information can now be derived and flexibly transferred to other functions. Changes in the 3D model are automatically implemented into floor plans and plots in real time. He also uses virtual reality to present designs more clearly. This efficient implementation of drawing creation gives architect Wiest a clear competitive advantage.

Renovation of a day care centre in Germany
Architect Peter Wiest:
For me, ELITECAD is truly a state-of-the-art system that perfectly demonstrates and reflects the advantages of a good CAD solution.
Our customer cites the Warte Knirpse day care centre in Mücheln as one of his favourite projects. Originally started on a different drawing basis, the project was completely transferred to ELITECAD Architecture after it had begun – including the consistently-updated BIM information. This enabled the architectural firm to seamlessly integrate all project participants – from structural engineering and building services to CNC work for the metal construction. "The work is just incredibly enjoyable – especially when you can really use the progress you make with ELITECAD across many project participants", praises Mr Wiest.
The elaborate steel truss from the 1970s, which adds a certain complexity to the presentation, was modelled and integrated into the project as part of an individual training session with Mr Brinkmann (S-S-B DigitalServices AG). The aim was to be able to realistically depict the planned redesign of the roof structure, taking into account all functional requirements.
Favourite feature
"My favourite ELITECAD feature is the PDF interface – because it works just like it used to: you place a transparent sheet over an existing drawing and simply trace it. You conjure up a PDF on the screen and can take measurements, calibrate it, and record areas and volumes. I use this feature almost every day."
