BAU celebrates a successful comeback
Following a four-year break, BAU, the world's leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems, is back with an excellent result. About 190,000 visitors informed themselves from April 17 to 22 at the Messe München exhibition center about the innovations and trends of the 2,260 exhibitors (2019: 2,250) from 49 countries (2019: 45 countries).

At our 80sqm stand – our largest trade fair appearance in the history of ELITECAD to date – we presented our latest software version ELITECAD Architecture 16 to the trade public in a total of 36 presentations and 49h live demos. The reduced number of visitors compared to last time from 250,000 to 190,000 fortunately had no effect on our trade fair success – on the contrary: the interest was unbroken and the number of interested parties has never been as high as this time! In the end, it was clear to the visitors that there is no way around ELITECAD in the top planning league!

Our trade fair team also impressed with a programme that comprehensively covered all the needs of the trade audience. From an interactive introduction to the variety of functions, to individual live demonstrations at our workstations equipped with 3D PluraView stereo monitors, to exciting lectures, our trade fair stand created the optimal experience of three-dimensional planning and real 3D stereo model visualisation for everyone, leaving many guests in awe.

Finally, we provided a special eye-catcher and another three-dimensional experience for trade fair visitors with our 3D printer and live printed architectural wonders. In particular with the 3D model of the Vienna City Hall, which was also linked to a competition and had many participants puzzling over a tricky guessing question.
Within a very short time, the building model created in ELITECAD can not only be experienced in visual form via VR real-time visualisation, but can also take on physical form and be presented via 3D printing.

Our conclusion
Overall, this year's BAU was a complete success for us. We were able to strengthen our presence in the industry, make valuable contacts and expand our knowledge about the latest developments in the construction industry. Consequently, the next BAU is already noted in the ELITECAD event calendar with anticipation! We look forward to continuing to make an important contribution to development and innovation in the industry.
The next edition of BAU will take place from 13 to 18 January 2025. Before that, we will present our solutions in the field of construction software again in Cologne at digitalBAU (20 to 22 February 2024).
