ELITECAD Viewer Update R2 is now available
The year is drawing to a close, but things are still in full swing at XEOMETRIC, and another innovation is here to sweeten the Christmas period for you. The R2 update for ELITECAD Viewer (Pro) is now available and not only noticeably boosts performance, but also supports ELITECAD Mechanics 17 data and, thus, makes working with ELITECAD and IFC models generally smoother, more precise and more convenient.
Instant insight into details, even when working with large point clouds
Valuable insight into 3D models without extensive CAD knowledge: this has been the essence of ELITECAD Viewer since its initial launch. Now, models can be moved, zoomed and evaluated even faster, while still keeping all the graphic details.
Thanks to optimisations in graphics output and image composition, even large 3D data sets are displayed much more smoothly. You'll especially notice a real performance boost when working with point clouds! ELITECAD Viewer responds powerfully and reliably, regardless of the level of zoom. ELITECAD Viewer is the free solution for easy handling of ELITECAD data or third-party models via the IFC format, without having to rely on expensive CAD software. The Pro version offers additional features such as redlining, markups, measurement functions and extended interfaces.
Easier to use thanks to targeted usability improvements
The significant performance boost is accompanied by many small details that nevertheless make a big difference. The new Viewer Update R2 makes your everyday work easier, for example, through:
- Improvements in measuring angles for auxiliary lines
- Optimisations when using quote marks in the entry fields for data records, layer, materials, etc.
- Creating data record main folders is now also possible using the context menu
- Transferring data record folder structures to other computers is now supported
- Corrections and optimisations in PDF and IFC import as well as PDF export for smooth data exchange
Update R2 brings ELITECAD Mechanics 17 into the Viewer
With the R2 update, ELITECAD Viewer (Pro) is now fully compatible with the recently released version 17 of ELITECAD Mechanics. This means that the mechanics mode is now available in a modernised form for engineering applications.
Anyone already working with ELITECAD Mechanics 17 can now benefit from the seamless interaction between the two products – from viewing and analysis to testing mechanical designs, plant layout and mechanical engineering projects.
