Exhibition appearance and market insights from Greece

Digital planning in focus:
ELITECAD and ERGOCAD @ The Architects Show Athens 2025

The Architects Show Athens has established itself in recent years as one of the most important events for architecture, planning, and construction innovation in Greece. With around 6,500 trade visitors from architecture, interior design, construction, and design, the 2025 edition once again offered an impressive overview of current developments, materials, and future topics in the industry – and clearly demonstrated how strongly the Greek market is undergoing a transformation towards digital and BIM-based planning processes.

ERGOCAD as Grand Sponsor and digital driving force

In this environment, our Greek sales partner ERGOCAD made a clear statement: As the Grand Sponsor of the trade fair and the only exhibitor with software solutions, ERGOCAD was the central point of contact for all questions relating to digital planning. With ELITECAD Architecture, our comprehensive BIM and CAD solution for architecture and planning, ERGOCAD presented a powerful answer to the growing demands for digital and BIM-based workflows in the Greek market.
Strong dialogue with architects and planners

Together, we were able to impressively demonstrate at our booth how modern design, planning, and BIM workflows can be implemented in practice. Daniel Stöger, COO of XEOMETRIC, was present at the trade fair and had numerous conversations with architects, planners, and decision-makers. This direct exchange with users proved invaluable not only for gaining market insights but also provided concrete feedback that we can specifically incorporate into the long-term development of ELITECAD.

Planning certainty, localization and support as success factors

One recurring theme in many discussions was the mandatory subscription model of major competitors. Greek architectural firms, in particular, appreciated the fact that ELITECAD remains available as a traditional perpetual license. This freedom of choice – combined with optional maintenance and support models – was seen by many attendees as providing long-term planning security and economic advantages.

A special focus was placed on ELITECAD's market readiness for Greece: The fully Greek user interface, the consistent adherence to local standards and norms, and the comprehensive training and support offered by ERGOCAD were recognized by many attendees as decisive benefits. The close collaboration between the manufacturer and the local partner creates precisely the security necessary for the successful implementation of BIM software in everyday project work.

From planning to visualization

The joint presentation with our cooperation partner Lumion also garnered significant attention. Using real-world project examples, we demonstrated how precise building models from ELITECAD can be seamlessly transformed into high-quality, realistic visualizations – a combination of planning and visualization that proved convincing both in the early design phases and in project communication.

Voices from the exhibition

  • George Tsiamtsiakiris
    Co-Founder, ERGOCAD
"The decision to support The Architects Show as a Grand Sponsor was a major and very deliberate step for us. We wanted to send a clear signal for digital planning and BIM in the Greek market – both to architectural firms and to the entire industry. The response to our presence clearly showed that this step was the right one. As the only exhibitor with software solutions, we were able to further solidify our role as a technology partner and, together with ELITECAD, demonstrate what future-proof planning looks like today."
  • Daniel Stöger
    COO, XEOMETRIC GmbH
"I was personally very impressed by the quality of the exhibition and the openness with which digital topics were discussed. The interest in BIM solutions is clearly evident, and I consider the potential of the Greek market to be very high for the coming years. The direct exchange with the architects on site was particularly valuable for me – this feedback is extremely important for our long-term product development. Furthermore, I am very pleased to have such a dedicated and competent partner in Greece as ERGOCAD, with whom we will drive the further development of ELITECAD and the expansion of the market in the long term."

Looking ahead

The Architects Show Athens 2025 impressively demonstrated that Greece is on the cusp of a sustained digital development boost in the planning and construction sector. For ELITECAD and ERGOCAD, the event was not only a successful trade fair appearance, but also a strong commitment to a shared future: with locally rooted expertise, high-performance BIM technology, and an open dialogue with users as the basis for sustainable innovation.
