Driving forward the digital transformation in the construction industry
In cooperation with utb Laser- und Vermessungstechnik GmbH, our first workshop on the topic of "Digital Inventory" took place in August at the new ELITECAD Competence Center in Kufstein.

WORKSHOP | utb x ELITECAD
At the workshop in cooperation with utb Laser- und Vermessungstechnik GmbH as specialist for laser surveying technology, invited guests from the architecture and construction industry learned about new possibilities of digitalisation in as-built surveys and building planning.
FROM 3D POINT CLOUD TO 3D BUILDING MODEL
Future-oriented possibilities were presented on how a sustainable planning process is created through the synergy of laser scanners and planning software and can be continued throughout all project stages.
In addition, the event offered valuable application examples and practical exercises on how the authentic workflow of a construction site situation can be more successful in the age of digitalisation using the latest equipment technology to make everyday planning by orders of magnitude more efficient using numerous automatisms.
Software/devices used: ELITECAD, FARO Scanner, Leica Total Station, Emlid GNSS
While chatting afterwards in a relaxed atmosphere, we were able to field many thought-provoking questions and jointly gain insight into certain topics of everyday planning in the different sectors.
Overall, the workshop was a success and the interest was great, which is why we are looking forward to having similar workshops at other locations.
